Two die in accident

LAHORE, Sept 2: At least two people were killed in separate hit-and-run incidents here on Saturday. Reports said Arshad Mashih (32) was driving his rickshaw on M M Alam Road when a car hit the three-wheeler, leaving him dead on the spot. The car driver managed to escape with his vehicle.

Police registered a case against the unidentified accused on the complaint of victim’s father Sameul Masih.

In the other incident, an unidentified middle-aged man was hit by a rashly-driven car when he was standing on the bus stop at Bhati Chowk. He was rushed to a hospital in critical condition where he was pronounced dead.

FOUND DEAD: An unidentified man was found dead in Haji Kot, Shahdra. Police said the body had injury marks and was shifted to city morgue.

Similarly, body of an unidentified middle-aged man was found on Mela Ram Road in Lower Mall area. Police claimed the deceased appeared to be a drug addict and probably died of over doze.
