KARACHI, Sept 2: Sindh Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim on Saturday called for enhancing the performance of the CM’s inspection team. In a meeting with the chairman of the team, Tariq Salim, at CM's House here, Dr Arbab directed that a think-tank be established to review ongoing development works across the province.

“To improve the performance of the provincial departments, the inspection team should play its active role”, the chief minister added.

Presiding over another meeting, the chief minister ordered full utilization of available resources for progress of agriculture in the province.

He observed that Sindh was an agricultural province and its economy also depended on agriculture, adding it was the need of the hour to boost agriculture in the province.

He said that research methods be applied for increasing crop yield.

Secretary of agriculture, director-general agriculture, DG research and agriculture also attended the meeting.

Meanwhile, the Polish Ambassador to Pakistan on Saturday called on Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim at the CM House and exchanged views on matters of common interests.—APP
