PESHAWAR, Aug-31: The Private Schools Associate (PSA) of Bara (Khyber Agency) on Thursday warned of closing down all 1,200 schools in protest if a nine-year old kidnapped student was not recovered within a week.
Addressing a press conference at the Peshawar Press Club, association president Shah Faisal Afridi said that Mohammad Sohail, a student of Khyber Education Academy in Akakhel area of the Bara tehsil had been kidnapped four month back while he was returning home from the school. He alleged that the authorities concerned were informed well in time, but despite having knowledge about the kidnappers it had failed to take action against them.
He urged the federal government and NWFP governor to take action against the local administration for not arresting the kidnappers and warned that if the student was not recovered they would close down all private schools for indefinite period.
