KARACHI, Aug 27: Police on Sunday arrested three suspects and recovered the cash which they had looted from a fast food outlet at University Road on Saturday.

Police said that four armed suspects had barged into the KFC outlet located opposite Urdu University.

They held the inmates hostage at gunpoint and collected Rs254,000 cash from the counter before fleeing.

Police detained the security guard of the outlet Fahad Fazal. During interrogation, he confessed his involvement disclosing the identities of his accomplices.

Subsequently, police raided an apartment in Gulshan-i-Iqbal and nabbed three suspects identified as Noman, Arshad and the ring leader Sajid. Their fourth accomplice Rashid could not be arrested from the spot.

Police claimed recovery of Rs0.2 million as well as arms and ammunition from their possession.
