SIALKOT, Aug 26: A local lawyer and his cousin died allegedly after taking medicines given by a quack at Jasorraan Badiana village, Pasrur tehsil, on Friday evening. The lawyer, Liaqat Ali and his cousin Bilqees Bibi, who were reportedly suffering from gastroenteritis, went to a village quack to get treatment. As soon as they took the medicines given by the quack, their condition deteriorated and the both died on the spot.

Area police have registered a double-murder case against the quack with no arrest so far.

The village residents, expressing serious concern over the incident, demanded immediate action against quacks in the district.
