QUETTA, Aug 25: Elders of the Kalpar Bugti tribe have said that holding of the Bugti qaumi jirga will not only end the differences among Bugti tribesmen but also greatly strengthen the efforts to restore peace in the area.

In a joint statement here on Friday, Mir Majho Khan Bugti, Hazoor Baksh Bugti and others said the Jirga enjoyed full support of all the sub-clans, including Raheja, Perozani, Mundrani, Kalpar and Massori of the Bugti tribe, and resolutions adopted at the event be implemented.

They said that the majority of Bugtis wanted an end to their tribal enmities as well as an end to the prevailing backwardness in the area.

They urged the government to play its role in this regard.
