Students protest against UE VC

LAHORE, Aug 21: Hundreds of students of the University of Education, Township campus, on Monday staged a protest demonstration against vice-chancellor Dr Mustafa Habibullah and principal Dr Izharul Haq for getting fake cases registered against university students.

The students were also holding banners and placards bearing inscriptions that the VC and principal should be removed. They also chanted slogans that the government should arrest the VC in the murder case of vice-principal Dr Kausar Ali and fake cases registered against students should be quashed.

The students said the VC had got fake cases registered against students, who were protesting against the policies of VC Dr Habibullah. He said the VC also got students arrested despite the fact that they had obtained bails from relevant courts.
