PESHAWAR, Aug 21: A man was arrested when he was attempting to board Pakistan International Airline’s flight to Riyadh at Peshawar airport on the passport of his deceased cousin, a senor official told Dawn.

Ajeeb, son of Sadiq Rehman, a resident of Dir district, presented his passport No KF-442467 issued by the Pakistan embassy in Saudi Arabia on Dec 12, 2005, to the immigration authorities of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) at Peshawar airport on Saturday evening, said Assistant Director (immigration) Inamullah Khan Gandapur.

Immigration official interrogated the passenger on suspicion that the photograph on the passport had been changed, the official said. Ajeeb confessed that he was trying to travel on the passport of his deceased cousin Saleh Rehman.
