PESHAWAR, Feb 11: As a mark of respect, classes in the departments of International Relations and Political Sciences, University of Peshawar, remained suspended on Monday due to the death of prominent academician Dr Nayab, popularly known as Nayab Sahib, on Saturday. He was buried in the Islamia College graveyard on Sunday.

Dr Nayab, a well-known scholar of national and international repute, did his PhD from the University of Cansass, USA. He remained chairman of the departments of Political Science and International Relations, University of Peshawar. It was primarily due to the efforts of Dr Nayab and Dr Israr Hussain that the departments of International Relations and Public Administration, came into being in Peshawar University in 1980.

He has left behind a wife, two daughters, and a son. A condolence reference would be held in the Senate Hall, University of Peshawar, on Tuesday at 12.30pm, which will be presided over by the Vice-Chancellor, Syed Zulfiqar Hussain Gillani and would be participated by his contemporaries.
