China textile fair on 28th

KARACHI, Aug 19: China’s international trade fair, Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles 2006, will be held on August 28-30 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre.

According to organisers, the Intertextile fair had come along way in recent years and was recognised as one of the leading textile shows in China. “The show is seen as a great sourcing centre where trade buyers need to spend little effort to seek out the immense variety and diversity of quality products on offer.”

The fair would include a huge selection of bed-bath-table and kitchen linens and large collections of wall-window decorations, such as curtain and blinds as well as textile wall coverings, upholstery fabrics and leathers.

The Messe Frankfurt, organiser of the show, stated that carpets and rugs would come in a plethora of colours, styles, sizes in textures, such as silk, wool, cottons and man-made fibres.“Intertextile 2006 has since May secured over 550 exhibitors from 14 countries, including China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Japan, Korea, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan China, Turkey, the United Kingdom and the US,” the organisers stated.—APP
