PPP meeting

Published August 19, 2006

LAHORE, Aug 18: The Punjab PPP in a meeting on Friday reviewed the situation of the party membership in the province besides discussing ongoing policies of the government.

Briefing reporters after the meeting, Punjab PPP information secretary and MPA Farzana Raja said the membership campaign had been in full swing for some months. She said divisional party commands had been asked to follow up the membership actively.

She criticised present government policies, claiming that differences had emerged among ruling party circles, and its days were numbered. She said people had got sick of the increasing price hike, and, even, they would find it almost impossible to bear expenses on basic necessities, but the government was just doing nothing. — Staff Reporter
