BAHAWALPUR aug 18: A vast part of the cholistan desert received rain on Thursday night. According to reports received here today, heavy rain was widely welcomed by desert men, who were overjoyed with the filling of ponds and tobas with rain water.
The water accumulated in ponds will be adequate for their herds for several months. besides, the rain will also help the growth of bushes and grass for the livestock.
