Powerlifting team leaves for Manila

LAHORE, Aug 15: A two member Pakistan powerlifting team left for Manila, the Philippines to take part in the Asian bench press championship to be held from Aug 19 to 21.

Mohammad Abdul Jabbar Adnan and Shahbaz Ali are in the team.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Powerlifting Federation secretary Mohammad Rashed Malik claimed that he was hopeful the two players would earn medals among the competition of 13 countries taking part in the championship.
