SHIKARPUR, Aug 15: A man was shot dead while his son was injured by a gang of outlaws here on Monday. Bashir Ahmed Channa and his son Hazar Khan were injured when the outlaws opened fire. They were rushed to civil hospital Larkana where Bashir Ahmed died.

The relatives of the deceased and the villagers blocked the Shikarpur-Garhi Yasin road by keeping the body on the road near Bhavo Wah bridge on Tuesday and staged a protest demonstration demanding arrest of the outlaws.

On the assurance of police the road was reopened for vehicular traffic after two hours.

Reports said that four armed men intercepted the motorcycle auto-rickshaw in which the deceased Bashir Ahmed Channa and his son were travelling from Shikarpur to Khaman village on Sunday. The bandits attempted to rob them and on resistance, the outlaws opened fire, as a result of which Bashir Ahmed and his son Hazar Khan received serious bullet injuries.
