Man shot dead

RAWALPINDI, Aug 10: A father of 16 was shot dead in Shahzad Town area on Thursday, police said. Mian Omer, in his late 50s, who had three wives, was going home when some unidentified persons shot him dead and escaped. Police said the motive behind the murder seemed to be an old enmity. However, the police registered a case and handed over the body to his family.

Meanwhile, a man was looted by a gang of robbers here on Wednesday. Abdul Aziz told police that he was going home when three persons intercepted him near Haideri Chowk and looted Rs300,000 and traveller cheques from him and escaped.—Staff Reporter
