KARACHI, Aug 9: Six vessels carrying DAP fertiliser and containers are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where eight ships, Mol Silver Fern, APL Osaka, to unload and load containers, Makran and An Yua Jiang to offload and load general cargo, Shalamar to unload crude oil and Stolt Avenir to offload palm oil were berthed.

Seven vessels, China Star, Corin Thaikos, Thor Jasmine, Apostolos-2, Persia, Rising One and Stolt Avenir departed on Wednesday, while APL Osak, Mol Silver Fern, Shalamar, Ocean Friend, Athloforos and Hyundai Advance are due to sail out on Thursday.

Cargo handling activity on the wharves was active where a total tonnage of 90,009 tons comprising 20,167 tons of export cargo and 69,342 tons of import tonnage was handled.The following ships are due on Thursday: Thor Captain, Maersk Alabama, Eric P.Gibsom, Kota Perkasa, Orient Independence, with containers, Golden Sky, with 20,893 tons of DAP fertiliser.
