MIRPURKHAS, Aug 6: Dozens of people from Badal Shah, Allah Bux Gorchani and Babu Thabba villages staged a demonstration in Mirwah Gorchani town on Sunday to protest against a Hesco lineman and the Hyderabad Electric Supply Company for issuing inflated power bills.

The protesters led by Abbas Hussain carried banners and placards inscribed with slogans against Hesco and the lineman.

The protesters, Abbas Hussain, Naimat Ali and Dev Anand complained to reporters that Hesco had issued inflated bills to consumers in Mirwah Gorchani and villages on the town’s outskirts.

They said that the lineman who had been posted in the town for last several years had given illegal direct connections to many people at the cost of legitimate consumers.—Correspondent
