Rice due at UN

WASHINGTON, Aug 5: US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice was expected at the United Nations early next week, after the United States and France agreed a draft resolution on the Lebanon conflict, her spokesman said Saturday.

Travel plans for Rice likely signal a ministerial meeting will be held in the UN Security Council to vote through the resolution.—AFP
