PR relief for senior citizens

LAHORE, Aug 3: Senior citizens will get a 50 per cent concession in the economy class fares of 26 trains from Friday.

“It is in addition to the 25 per cent concession in fares of all classes announced last year,” a railways spokesperson said on Thursday.

Sixty-five years old people will get the concession on presentation of their computerised identity cards.

They will avail the concession on Khyber Mail (1-up/2-down), Tezgam (7-up/8-down), Hazara Express (11-up/12-down), Awam Express (13-up/14-up), Allama Iqbal Express (19-up/20-down), Chiltan Express (21-up/22-down), Quetta Express (23-up/24-down), Shalimar Express (27-up/28-down), Farid Express (37-up/38-down), Jaffar Express (39-up/40-down), Rawalpindi Railcar (101-up/102-down), Shah Shams Express (115-up/116-down) and Musa Pak Express (117-up/118-down).
