SUKKUR, Aug 3: Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-F secretary-general MNA Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri has said his party’s policy regarding President Gen Pervez Musharraf is clear.

“If in the course of removing Gen Musharraf we are to sacrifice the provincial governments in Balochistan and the NWFP, we’ll do it,” he told journalists in Jacobabad on Wednesday.

Terming the Muttahida Qaumi Movement a terrorist and blackmailer group, he said its ministers had tendered resignations to get sympathies of the people of Sindh and Balochistan, but they wanted to achieve their own interests.

He said that in case the MQM left the Sindh government and the PPP tabled a no-confidence motion in the assembly against Chief Minister Arbab Rahim, the JUI supreme council would decide whether to support the motion or not.

About the Kalabagh dam, he said the government should desist from constructing the dam because the project was opposed by three federating units.—Correspondent
