ISLAMABAD, Aug 2: Federal Minister for Textile Industry Mushtaq Ali Cheema on Wednesday said that women could play an important role for the promotion of the textile industry.

He urged that women should equip themselves with modern training in textile designing and fashion in order to get better job opportunities.

He stated this during the meeting with a delegation of Islamabad Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry led by Samina Fazil who called onhim here at his office on Wednesday.

The minister said that the government was striving hard to impart technical education to the workers especially women.

He assured that the government would create more job opportunities for the women in this sector and would also make legislation.
