LAHORE: The Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) has taken possession of a commercial property worth around Rs500 million in Lahore.

The operation was conducted on Monday on the directives of ETPB Chairman Qamaruz Zaman, with Deputy Administrator (Lahore-I) Syeda Sameera Rizvi and Lahore Administrator Adnan Hassan Bhullarwan leading it.

The ETPB says the property on Nicholson Road remained in the use of tenants who had defaulted on payments. It also comprised lawyers’ chambers and residential portions.

The operation was carried out with the assistance of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), local police and the board’s security staff.

The ETPB says the action is part of its efforts to retrieve valuable properties from illegal occupants and recover outstanding rents and other government dues.
