RAWALPINDI: Deputy Commissioner retired Captain Nadeem Nasir on Saturday said the speed of work on all development and beautification schemes should be accelerated.

He said that ongoing beautification works on greenbelts, triangles and GT Road Rawat and Taxila should be completed in the next 10 days.

He was speaking at a meeting held to review Punjab Development Programme and Clean Punjab in which the ongoing development projects, beautification schemes and sanitation arrangements were reviewed.

The deputy commissioner stated that there will be no compromise on timely completion and quality of development projects. The officials concerned should continuously monitor the ongoing work in the field and ensure that the targets are achieved within the stipulated period.

He also directed the officials to take coordinated steps to make the sanitation system more effective and improve the beauty of the city under the Clean Punjab programme.
