Iranian state broadcaster IRIB reports that a supertanker laden with over 2 million barrels of oil has exploded after striking a sea mine in the Strait of Hormuz.
The tanker, still ablaze, is the third to strike mines in the “unauthorised route” within the key waterway, IRIB adds.
