THE Khuddam-ul-Hujjaj-2027 recruitment process has raised serious concerns among aspiring candidates. From delayed roll-number slips to allegations of questions outside the prescribed syllabus, the process lacked transparency at a number of stages. Reports of mobile phone usage, cheating and inadequate invigilation at certain examination centres further affected the confidence of candidates. The delayed issuance of physical-test roll-number slips added to the uncertainty.
More importantly, the sheer absence of a clearly published cut-off and transparent merit list created doubts about the whole selection process. There are also allegations of favouritism and unequal treatment that deserve an impartial investigation.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs should immediately examine CCTV footage, examination records and complaints from candidates. An independent inquiry is essential to determine whether the recruitment process was conducted fairly. If substantial irregularities are established, the affected stages should be cancelled and conducted afresh. Merit and transparency must prevail in selecting those who will be entrusted with the sacred responsibility.
