MURDER CASE: Police claim to have solved the blind murder of a 39-year-old woman and said that her husband and his female friend turned out to be her killers in the Tanda police precincts.
A Gujrat Police spokesperson said that one Ishfaq lodged a complaint with the police that on Sept 25 his wife, Naseem Bibi, had gone missing. He alleged that she might have been kidnapped by some unidentified suspects, after which police lodged a kidnap case and launched a search.
However, he said, her mutilated body was found in a field near their house a few days after the incident and murder charges were added in the case.
The spokesperson claimed that police later grilled the husband, who confessed to killing his wife after she spotted him with another woman.
He claimed the suspects, the husband and his female friend, had killed the woman by hitting her head with a brick and had thrown her body in the nearby fields.
