BAHAWALPUR: A 15-year-old girl was raped at Basti Pakka Bara near village Aghapur in the limits of the Sammasatta Police Station.

According to the police sources, the incident took place on Oct 15. In the first information report, the victim’s father, Muhammad Shehbaz , a labourer by profession, said his minor daughter went for cutting fodder in the fields where the suspect caught hold of her and raped her while his accomplice shot a video on his mobile phone.

He added when his daughter did not return home, he, along with his witnesses, went to search for her inside the cotton fields. They found that her daughter was raped while both suspects had fled.

The police sent her daughter for a medical examination. The police officials said the case was under investigation.
