LAHORE: France have replaced Pakistan in the 2026-27 FIH Men’s Hockey Pro League as the Green-shirts were ousted after finishing at the bottom in the 2025-26 season of the nine-team competition.

According to the International Hockey Federation (FIH), France earned promotion to the Pro League by winning the FIH Nations Cup.

Pakistan played in the Pro Hockey League for the first time in 2025-26 after New Zealand decided to withdraw its team due to financial constraints.

Though the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) accepted the FIH offer, the Pakistan team failed to grab the opportunity and in a pathetic show lost all the 16 matches of the league.
