SAHIWAL: Police booked a man on Wednesday after his pet dog seriously injured a boy at 57/SP village in Pakpattan tehsil.

According to Malka Hans police, complainant Irshad Beg stated that his son was going to a shop in the village to buy snacks when a dog owned by a local, Munir, attacked him.

He said that his minor son suffered serious dog-bite injuries to his head.

The complainant said that some locals rescued the injured boy, and asked the dog owner to chain his pet but he did not do that.

The injured boy was rushed to the district headquarters hospital, where his condition is said to be critical.

Malka Hans police registered a case against Munir under Section 289 of the Pakistan Penal Code on the complaint of the victim’s father, Irshad Beg, without arresting the suspect so far.
