PESHAWAR: Adviser to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governor on information, Samar Haroon Bilour, on Wednesday expressed confidence that the province would witness a visible improvement in law and order within 90 days, citing better coordination among security institutions and government departments.

Talking to reporters here, she said the measures taken under the governor’s rule and emergency arrangements would help improve the performance and morale of police and Frontier Constabulary, contributing to a better security situation on the ground.

She said improved coordination among the federal and provincial governments, armed forces and police would also facilitate trade, ease public movement and help remove road blockades across the province.

Ms Bilour said the government would address public issues in a phased manner and would not resort to political victimisation.

However, she said those found responsible for misappropriating public resources would face action after a review of relevant evidence.

She said the authorities would examine each case on merit and take strict action against anyone found guilty in accordance with the law.
