Iran’s Parliament speaker Bagher Ghalibaf says that Iran must “both fight and negotiate” in order to achieve its goals: “Whenever we achieve victory on the battlefield, we must consolidate the field of victory in the political sphere,” he says, according to state-run Fars news agency.

“This does not mean endless war and prolonged negotiation. We fight to exhaust the enemy so that it is forced to yield to our demands,” he added.
