Three girls drown in pond in Sanghar

NAWABSHAH: Three girls, including two siblings, drowned in a pond near Mangli in Sanghar district on Friday.

The victims were identified as Aisha, 15, her sibling Ban Bibi, 12, and Marwa, 11.

Officials said that one girl slipped and fell into the pond, after which the other two jumped in to save her. However, all three drowned.

The bodies were retrieved by villagers and shifted to Civil Hospital Sanghar. Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah expressed concern over the incident and sought a report from the district authorities.
