KARACHI: A sessions court has issued a notice to a state prosecutor over an application seeking acquittal of Anmol, aka Pinky, in a drug case registered in 2021.

Anmol through her counsel had moved the application under Section 265-K of the criminal procedure code before the additional district and sessions judge (South) and sought acquittal in an old case registered at the Gizri police station in which she had been earlier declared a proclaimed absconder.

The court issued a notice to the state prosecutor and adjourned the matter till Oct 14.

The suspect had already been acquitted by a sessions court in three other old cases registered at the Gizri police station in 2020, 2021 and 2022 over lack of evidence.
