ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) has extended the last date for submission of registration returns at HSSC level for all affiliated institutions up to Oct 30 without extra fee charges.

The statement issued by the FBISE on Wednesday stated: “The extension has been made under the direction and with the special intervention of Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, particularly in view of the difficulties being faced by affiliated institutions in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), as well as other affiliated institutions in general, in completing the registration process within the earlier notified timeframe.”

Earlier, Oct 6 was the last date for registration, and after expiry of this date, institutions were required to pay late and double fees; however, now all institutions of the country, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, and Pakistan schools and colleges operating abroad can get their students registered with FBISE till Oct 30 with normal fee.

The board said: “The education minister has been pleased to facilitate the institutions and students by allowing additional time for completion of the registration formalities. Accordingly, the registration returns may now be submitted with the normal fee. In this regard, a revised notification is also being issued by FBISE to all the institutions. The heads of all affiliated institutions are requested to avail themselves of the extended deadline and ensure that the registration returns of all eligible students are duly processed and submitted within the stipulated time.”

It said institutions are also advised to ensure that the information furnished in the registration returns is complete, accurate and in accordance with the applicable FBISE rules and requirements.

For further guidance and clarity regarding the registration process, eligibility requirements, applicable procedures and other related matters, heads of institutions are advised to consult the earlier registration notification at HSSC level for the current academic session.
