Dera forum inaugurated

PESHAWAR, July 27: The Executive District Officer (Finance & Planning) of Dera Ismail Khan, Anwar Khan Masud, on Thursday inaugurated the Dera Development Forum.

According to press release issued here, the forum, established with the technical assistance of The World Conservation Union (IUCN), was an advisory body that envisaged district development especially in neglected areas through developing a viable working relationship for effective resource management and conservation.

While presiding over its first meeting, the EDO said that through this forum, the district and other development organisation would be able to participate in collective efforts for development and a good learning opportunity.

He said that Dera Development Forum would help avoid duplication of resources and efforts.
