Two children killed in Panjgur blast

GWADAR: Two children were killed and three others injured on Saturday in Panjgur district when an explosive device detonated while they were playing, police said.

According to police, the incident occurred in Fateh Ali Bazar, located in Gwar Go tehsil, where a group of children playing outside came across a suspicious explosive device. The device detonated as the children found it.

Police identified the deceased as Arman, 9, and Amal, 10. Three other children namely Noorullah, 12, Shahid, 9, and Zahid, 7, were injured in the explosion.

Investigators have yet to determine the exact nature of the explosive device, including whether it was a hand grenade, a landmine or another type of unexploded ordnance.
