NAROWAL: A 14-year-old girl was raped by a local youth at Mohallah Antowali of Shakargarh.

The girl became pregnant and the suspect threatened to kill the girl if she reported the matter to police.

The victim’s father told police that seven months ago, his 14-year-old daughter was alone at home when the local youth entered the house and raped her.

The girl was taken to the hospital after her health suddenly deteriorated where the doctor revealed that she was seven months pregnant. At this, the girl told her mother about her ordeal.

The Shakargarh City Police Station registered an FIR against the suspect who fled the village.

ARRESTED: Sialkot police arrested the suspects who shaved off the head of a man to shame him.

Khurram Shahzad, the spokesperson for the Sialkot police, said Zeeshan Ali, a resident of village Raipur, Pasrur, had filed a complaint with the police, saying that he was at his home when there was a knock at the door. When he opened the door, he found Ismail Munawar, a resident of village Malipur, accompanied by his accomplices.

They bundled him in a car and took him to an outhouse where they subjected him to physical abuse and torture.

The suspects shaved his head off and kept him in a room for two days. They also recorded a video of the assault and posted it on social media.

Based on Zeeshan Ali’s complaint, the Sabz Peer Police Station registered an FIR against Ismail Munawar, Tahir Noor, Farid Nazeer and Tanveer Manzoor.

Sialkot District Police Officer (DPO) retired Capt Dost Muhammad told Dawn that all four suspects had been arrested.

He said that the incident was the result of a family dispute.
