A galaxy far, far away has just become a whole lot more fun! Imagine taking one of the most exciting adventures in the Star Wars universe and rebuilding it — brick by brick. Add a helmeted Mandalorian, an adorable Grogu, spaceships, aliens, pirates and plenty of jokes, and you have LEGO Star Wars: The Mandalorian!

This 2026 animated TV special, the sixth in the LEGO Star Wars series that began in 2011, brings back Din Djarin, better known as the Mandalorian, and Grogu for another funny, action-packed adventure. The special revisits the events of the first three seasons of The Mandalorian — but with everything given a wonderfully playful LEGO makeover.

The adventure begins at the famous Mos Eisley Cantina, where Mando and Grogu arrive looking for a new assignment. Instead, Mando discovers that his friends have planned a surprise party for him. Soon, familiar faces begin sharing stories of the adventures Mando and Grogu have shared. Of course, things don’t stay quiet for long. When a pirate threat suddenly appears, the party turns into another adventure, sending Mando and Grogu into action once again.

One of the biggest attractions is the animation. The characters, spaceships, planets and even the action sequences look as if they were built from real LEGO bricks, giving the Star Wars universe a colourful new look.

Mando’s LEGO adventures are packed with silly twists and unexpected jokes. But the real star is Grogu. With his huge eyes and tiny ears, he is just as adorable in LEGO form — whether using the Force, getting into trouble or simply looking cute.

You don’t need to be a Star Wars expert to enjoy this special. Younger viewers can enjoy the colourful characters, funny situations and exciting space battles, while older fans will enjoy spotting familiar characters, references and moments from The Mandalorian.

The special also features the voices of several stars from The Mandalorian, including Amy Sedaris, Nick Nolte, Rosario Dawson, Katee Sackhoff and Bill Burr.

The movie moves at a brisk pace, making it an easy, entertaining watch for the family.
