Car driver runs over, kills three young men in Sakrand

NAWABSHAH: Three young men were killed when a speeding car hit them as they sat by the roadside near Sakrand on Wednesday night.

Waheed, Dilbar and Imdad were critically injured in the crash. The driver fled the scene.

The victims were taken to the Taluka Hospital, Sakrand, where they were pronounced dead on arrival.

Man shot dead

A young man was shot dead in Nawabshah on Wednesday evening in what his family says was a dispute over his marriage.

Miandad Loond was killed by unidentified armed men as he stepped out of a hospital to buy medicine for his wife, who was admitted there.

His body was taken to Peoples Medical University Hospital, Nawabshah, for an autopsy.

His cousin, Asghar, told reporters that the family were residents of Dadu. He said Miandad had contracted a love marriage three months earlier, that his in-laws opposed the union, and that they might have been behind the killing.

Road accident

A teenager died in a road accident in Nawabshah on Thursday.

Rasheed Ghillu, 13, died on the spot when a tractor trolley hit his motorcycle at the Nawabshah bypass road.

The body was shifted to Peoples Medical University Hospital, Nawabshah.

The Nawabshah police said that the body was handed over to the heirs after a postmortem examination. Further investigation was underway, they added.
