Iran’s UN mission dismisses US expulsion claim as ‘baseless’

Iran’s mission to the United Nations said the Iranian delegation left New York as scheduled on Monday, Al Jazeera reports.

The announcement came shortly after Axios reported that US Secretary of State Marco Rubio demanded the Iranian delegation leave the country immediately after negotiations broke down, citing a US official and a second source with knowledge of the matter.

In a post on X, Iran’s UN mission dismissed the reports, saying: “Having achieved nothing, the State Department has resorted to propagating baseless and worthless news.”
