SUKKUR: Police claimed to have arrested two key suspects in the killing of a man and his five-year-old son within the jurisdiction of the Nabi Shah Wagan police station.

According to a police statement, Nabi Shah Wagan police arrested the suspects, identified as Mukhtiar Ahmed Jaffari and Babal Khan Jaffari, during an operation on the Ratodero-Jacobabad road in Shikarpur, and recovered the alleged murder weapon from their possession.

SSP Muhammad Kaleem said the two suspects had killed Ghulam Hussain Jaffari and his son, Abdul Sattar, over an old dispute involving allegations of karo-kari (honour-related accusations). He said police had registered a murder case at the Nabi Shah Wagan police station on the complaint of Ghulam Hussain’s niece, Sakina.
