PESHAWAR, July 25: The Jamaat-i-Islami has called upon the Muslim countries to take ‘practical measures’ against the genocide of people in Lebanon being committed jointly by Israel and the United States.

Speaking at a news conference here on Tuesday, JI’s provincial general secretary Mushtaq Ahmed Khan said the Organisation of Islamic Conference had lost its credibility.

He urged the OIC to convene a meeting forthwith and raise the matter at the United Nations Security Council. He announced that the JI would hold a public meeting on July 28 at Khyber Bazaar against the Israeli attacks on Lebanon.
