Rahimyar Khan triumph

LAHORE, July 24: Rahimyar Khan crushed Khanewal 3-0 as two matches were decided in the NBP-Punjab Inter-district football championship at the Punjab Stadium on Monday.

Mohammad Arshad scored the first goal in the 2nd minute for Rahimyar Khan. Umar Farooq scored the second goal in the 47th minute and Usman completed the tally in the 61st minute.

In the other match, Rawalpindi struggled hard to beat Lahore Greens 4-2.

The match ended in a goalless draw and decided on penalty kicks.

Sharjeel, Abbas, Shahzad and Umair converted the penalties for the winners while Furrukh Javed and Iftikhar scored for the Greens.
