LAHORE, July 24: A woman and her three daughters were injured when the roof of their dilapidated house collapsed in Mughalpura here on Monday. Police said that Rehana (48) along with her three daughters Shumaila (18), Rubab (12) and Sultana (7) were buried alive under the debris when the roof of their house collapsed. People of the area took them out of the debris. They were rushed to hospital for treatment where the condition of Rehana was stated to be critical.

Meanwhile, seven-year old Arbab, a resident of Qadri Colony, Walton, went out to enjoy rain on Sunday. He did not return the whole night. On Monday morning, some people saw a body in a pond situated in front of the Bank Stop and informed the police.

Police said that during rain the ill-fated boy fell into the pond and sustained head injuries that caused his death. —APP
