NAWABSHAH, July 22: The Sakrand police on Friday night booked the SP of the Lyari Task Force (LTF) and members of his team on the charge of killing Rasool Bux Brohi in a fake encounter.

Lal Bibi, widow of Rasool Bux Brohi who killed in cold blood by the LTF a few days back, lodged an FIR (101/2006) under sections 364, 342, 302 of the Qisas and Diyat Ordinance against LTF chief SP Chaudhry Aslam and members of his team. She said that Rasool Bux was a labourer working for Iqbal Memon at Hub Chowki.

She stated that her husband went to Sakrand along with Siddiq Brohi and Nazeer alias Nazru Khaskheli to meet a person regarding bail of deceased’s father and on their way back, the LTF arrested them at the Mir Leghari bus stop, near Sakrand, and later killed him in a fake encounter while Siddiq and Nazeer were still missing.—Correspondent
