KHAR, July 22: Teachers of community model schools in the Bajaur Agency have warned to close the schools as they have not got salary for nine months and due to lack of facilities.

Speaking at a press conference here on Friday, office-bearers of the All-Bajaur Community Model Schools Teachers Association said quarters concerned had been approached time and again but they had failed to solve problems of teachers.

The National Education Foundation had established several community model schools in the Bajaur Agency to provide education to tribesmen in their areas.

Association president Mohammad Jan Utmanzai and general secretary Ihsanullah said the National Education Foundation had not provided basic facilities in the schools.

They said teachers of the community schools had not received salary for nine months.
