HYDERABAD, July 21: Hyderabad beat Thatta in second NBP Inter-district cricket tournament by 47 runs at Niaz Stadium on Friday.

Hyderabad scored 162 in 40 overs with Javed Khan scoring 45 and Ahmed Ali Jafri 43. Ahmed Ali Baloch took three wickets for 29, while Adnan Ameer grabbed three for 34.

Chasing the target, Thatta were all out for 115 in 33.3 overs. Siraj-ul Haq scored 22. Zeeshan Soomro took three wickets for 21 and Nasir Awais two for 19.

Hyderabad 162 (Javed Khan 45, Ahmed Ali Jafri 43. Ahmed Ali Baloch 3-29, Adnan Ameer 3-34).

Thatta 115 (Siraj-ul Haq 22. Zeeshan Soomro 3-21, Nasir Awais 2-19).

Meanwhile, District Cricket Association Hyderabad has announced 28-member squad for NBP and PCB senior inter-district regional cricket tournaments after trials.

Players have been advised to report team manager Abdul Rauf at PCB Regional Academy ground.
