10 SAMs seized in Dera Bugti

QUETTA, July 20: Security forces seized a large cache of illegal arms, including surface-to-air missiles (SAMs), from the Dera Bugti district, on Thursday.

According to officials, Ghaza Band Scouts, a wing of the Frontier Corps, raided the Toba Nokhani area near Dera Bugti and seized 90 landmines, 51 40-mm rockets bombs, 180 hand-grenades, 169,000 rounds of various weapons, 1,000 detonators, 201 81-mm mortars shells, two fuse boxes and 10 batteries of SAMS.

Officials said that the illegal arms had been hidden underground in an area that was being used for attacking security forces and national installations.
