Trader shot dead in Noshki

QUETTA: A young Hindu trader was gunned down by armed men in Qadirabad area of Noshki town on Friday, police said.

Some armed men barged into a trader’s shop in the Qadirabad Stop area of Noshki Bazaar, the police said. As the trader offered resistance, the armed opened fire and fled, leaving the trader dead on the spot.

Police rushed to the site after receiving information about the incident and shifted the body to the district hospital, where the deceased was identified as Rakesh Kumar.

Later, a case was registered against the unidentified attackers.

Meanwhile, the body of a young man who was abducted from the Harnai area six days ago was recovered from the area, police said on Friday.

The youth was abducted from the tourist area of Damira. His body was recovered six days later and shifted to a hospital for medico-legal formalities.
