ISLAMABAD, July 20: The Rawalpindi Bench of Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday admitted of a contractor and restored his fish farm contract which had been cancelled by the district coordination officer (DCO) Jhelum.

Haji Mohammad Amin had filed a petition in the superior court challenging the cancellation of his contract of Bral Dam Fish Farm in Jhelum.

His lawyer Chaudhary Afrasiyab contended before the single bench of Justice Shabar Raza Rizvi that Mr Amin invested millions of rupees in the fish farm. But the DCO cancelled the contract giving him a big loss, he argued.

The court had summoned the DCO but he did not appear. On this, the court issued a contempt notice and arrest warrant against him.

Later, the DCO appeared before the court and apologised.

Hearing arguments of both sides, the learned judge admitted the writ petition and restored the contract of Bral Dam Fish Farm.
